Initiative Manager – Healthy diets from sustainable food systems

Enrico Baccioni is the manager of the Healthy Diets from Sustainable Food Systems Initiative at Bioversity International. As Initiative Manager, Enrico is responsible for developing and ensuring the outcome-oriented implementation of the research conducted under this Initiative.

Enrico has 14 years of experience in the development and research environment in different capacities with several organisations such as Governmental bodies, INGOs, National and International Research Institutions, and European networks/associations. Among other assignments, Enrico worked for the IAO of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Programme Manager and Technical Expert, responsible for planning and monitoring the Italian support to Agricultural Research for Development.

Before joining Bioversity International, Enrico worked for the Cesvi Foundation INGO, as Area Manager for the Asia Region, and Food & Nutrition Security Coordinator.
