Several policies approved by the Board guide Bioversity's work. Some are available here, and others will be added in the near future. In the meantime, for access to specific documents, please contact the Board Secretary

Whistle-Blower Policy

The Board approved this policy at its 30th meeting in Beijing, China, in September 2007. It sets out a mechanism of last resort for Bioversity staff to draw attention to possible fraudulent and unethical activities involving the organisation. It also details the channels to be used and the protection afforded to the whistle blower.

Ethical Screening Policy

The Board approved a screening policy for investments at its meeting in September 2008. This policy sets out the conditions under which Bioversity will accept support from donors.

Bioversity's Statement of Principles on GMOs

The CGIAR Centres of the CGIAR have collectively developed the "Centres Position Statement on Biotechnology" and individual Centres have issued guiding principles for specific crop species. In 2005, Bioversity approved its own set of guiding principles regarding genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
