Bioversity International is pleased to act as host for some of the CGIAR's system-wide activities. These include:

The Central Advisory Service on Intellectual Property (CAS-IP)

CAS-IP_LOGOCAS-IP is the CGIAR System service unit for intellectual property and legal matters for the Centers.CAS-IP has a team of 12 staff and consultants based around the world with headquarters based in Bioversity's Rome Office.

Latin American Forest Genetic Resources Network (LAFORGEN)

LAFORGEN_LOGOLAFORGEN contributes to the development of effective mechanisms for the conservation and sustainable use of Forest Genetic Resources in Latin America and the Caribbean. The LAFORGEN headquarters are based in Bioversity's Cali office in Colombia.

 

The sub-Saharan African Forest Genetic Resources (SAFORGEN)

SAFORGEN seeks to enable people and institutions in sub-Saharan Africa to both maintain and fully utilize existing forest biodiversity through the development of an effective networking platform. It covers three broad sub-regions in sub-Saharan Africa: West and Central Africa, Eastern Africa and Southern Africa.
