CAS-IP
CAS-IP is the CGIAR System service unit for intellectual property and legal matters for the Centers. Currently CAS-IP has a team of 12 staff and consultants based around the world, including 5 fully qualified lawyers with headquarters based in Bioversity's Rome Office.
What does CAS-IP do?
CAS-IP assists, supports, facilitates, and secures access to intellectual assets for distribution and use as public goods. They do this through a variety of projects and services ranging from transactional legal support to capacity building on the issues of:
- copyright
- contractual rights
- MTAs
- licenses
- agreements
- patents
- PVP
- trademarks
- confidential information.
