Convention on Biological Diversity, Nagoya, Japan
Bioversity is at COP 10 -- the 10th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity – in Nagoya, Japan representing the Consortium of CGIAR Centres, as it has at every COP since the original Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992.
For up to date information, Earth Negotiations Bulletin is covering the main meeting and selected side events.
One of the primary goals at Nagoya will be to agree a Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing for the Convention on Biological Diversity. Bioversity experts, on behalf of the CGIAR Consortium, are assisting delegates to the Conference in the negotiations.
Bioversity has also produced a booklet –
Agriculture, agricultural biodiversity and sustainability (240 KB) – based on an information note distributed to the CBD’s Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice.
