Interview on Seeds for Needs in Ethiopia
At a recent Seeds for Needs workshop with women farmers to evaluate more than 100 selected wheat and barley varieties, an Ethiopian news outlet interviewed Project Leader Ehsan Dulloo about the background, aims and progress of the project.
Dulloo explained where the selected varieties had come from and the importance of evaluating them at the three different project sites in Koka, Ejere and Chefe Donsa because of their different climate expectations. He also stressed the important role that women play in decisions to adopt and conserve the varieties grown.
