The first issue of Biodiversity for Food and Nutrition Project newsletter is out now. You can read and subscribe to it here. This multidisciplinary, multi-partner project aims to provide evidence of the nutritional value of agricultural biodiversity and its role in promoting healthy diets and strengthening livelihoods in the project’s leading countries: Brazil, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Turkey.

The project is supported by The Global Environment Facility, the world’s largest public funder of international environmental projects, and coordinated by Bioversity International, with implementation support from the United Nations Environment Programme and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. ‘Biodiversity for Food and Nutrition’ also brings together a significant platform of international partners to support project activities including: the World Food Programme; the Earth Institute; Crops for the Future; the World Agroforestry Centre and the World Vegetable Centre.
