New Bioversity nutrition strategy now online

An estimated 925 million people are hungry around the world and 175 million children, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, are stunted due to chronic malnourishment.

The new strategy will promote the use of agricultural biodiversity within food production systems by working with smallholder farmers, and will show that by diversifying diets, it can be an important tool for addressing malnutrition in developing countries.
