On farm conservation, neglected and underutilized species, and climate change - a new international effort

Bioversity, working with partners in India, Nepal and Bolivia, has launched a new international project - Reinforcing the resilience of poor rural communities in the face of food insecurity, poverty and climate change through on-farm conservation of local agrobiodiversity.

The project will enhance and support the on-farm conservation of neglected and underutilized crops.

The 3-year project builds on ten years of recently completed research by Bioversity International and partners on Neglected and Underutilized species in South and West Asia, Latin America and North Africa (watch the short video to learn more).
