The Role of Agricultural Biodiversity in Addressing Hunger & Climate Change

International seminar, 13-15 September 2010, Córdoba, Spain

Bioversity International is pleased to be a co-organizer of this key event which forms part of the celebrations for the International Year of Biodiversity and World Food Day.

The seminar, to convene in Spain in September, will focus on the important role of agricultural biodiversity in terms of food security, hunger and the effects of climate change.

A panel of experts will review current work in these fields and at the end of the event, a committee will draft specific recommendations for action. These recommendations will be presented at the UN General Assembly on Biodiversity to be held on 22 September 2010 in New York.
