12 October 2011   |   Permalink

With the deadline for this year's Bioversity Vavilov-Frankel Fellowship (VFF) just a few weeks away, Bioversity was pleased to get an opportunity to speak to our first VFF winner, Robin Pistorius, during his recent visit to Rome.

Pistorius was awarded the Fellowship in 1993, and during this video interview, he talks about the challenges that future fellows will face and how agricultural research has evolved in the last twenty years. The VVF supports research related to the conservation and use of plant genetic resources.

For more details, application form and guidelines, visit the Vavilov-Frankel 2011 page.

The 2011 award panel is particularly looking for innovative and multi-disciplinary proposals from applicants that come from low and medium income countries.
