The International Conference on Forests, Food Security and Nutrition will take place at FAO in Rome, Italy from 13-15 May, 2013. The Conference aims to increase understanding of the crucial role that forests, trees and agroforestry systems can play in improving the food security and nutrition of rural people, especially in developing countries.

Vacancy - Programme Budget Officer

We are a non-profit organization, active in over 100 countries worldwide, with more than 350 staff working from some 16 country offices. We are one of 15 centres of the Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centres (CGIAR).
Purpose of Role
Located in Bioversity’s Headquarters near Rome, under the direct supervision of the Research Programme Leader, and with a reporting line to the Finance Office, the Programme Budget Officer (PBO) will contribute to Research Programme effectiveness by performing financial and accounting tasks in the following areas:
- Monitoring of Programme expenditures
- Preparation of budgets for Programme proposals
- Preparation of Programme financial reports
