Previous page This database was produced in a joint effort
by members of the EUFORGEN Populus nigra Network, under coordination
of Dr Luisa Cagelli, the Network member from Istituto di
Sperimentazione per la Pioppicoltura (ISP) in Casale Monferrato,
Italy. The main objective is to provide an efficient tool for
information management, exchange of clones between countries,
detection of duplications among national collections and for better
identification of accessions. Files are being received from an
increasing number of countries which will regularly be uploaded in
the database on this site. If a new country wishes to enter
information into the database, a file should be sent following
strictly the agreed passport data. The minimum information is always
the clone name/number. The inclusion of data will, in many cases, be
restricted by the availability of existing accessions (cuttings,
pollen, or seeds) except for the parents of available accessions
which shall be included (if maintained or not). For further
instructions please refer to General rules for compilation.
With regard to updating the already available information, a
complete country file shall always be sent to replace completely the
original one.
