The EUFORGEN Networks are producing Technical Guidelines for genetic conservation and use
for various tree species. The objective is to provide commonly agreed recommendations for
long-term genetic conservation of these species in Europe. These recommendations can be
complemented and further developed for local, national and regional conditions.
The Technical Guidelines are based on the available knowledge of the species and on widely
accepted methods for the conservation of forest genetic resources.
All Technical Guidelines will be made available online as soon as they have
been published.
