The programme is now available for the International Scientific Symposium, ‘Biodiversity & Sustainable Diets: United Against Hunger’. The 3-day event, which starts next week, is jointly hosted by Bioversity International and FAO [2].
The focus of the symposium is the global challenge of biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation, considering their impact on poverty and health. It will also consider the need to re-examine food systems and will present case studies that examine ways to improve the nutritional quality, affordability and sustainability of diets while protecting food biodiversity.
