Bioversity is at COP 10 -- the 10th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity – in Nagoya, Japan representing the Consortium of CGIAR   [2]Centres, as it has at every COP since the original Earth Summit  in Rio de Janeiro  [3], Brazil, in 1992.

For up to date information, Earth Negotiations Bulletin  [4] is covering the main meeting  and selected side events  [5].

One of the primary goals at Nagoya will be to agree a Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing  [6] for the Convention on Biological Diversity. Bioversity experts, on behalf of the CGIAR Consortium, are assisting delegates to the Conference in the negotiations.

Bioversity has also produced a booklet –  Agriculture, agricultural biodiversity and sustainability (240 KB)  [7] – based on an information note distributed to the CBD  [8]’s Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice.

A series of factsheets provides participants and visitors at COP 10 with background information on some of the key topics related to conservation and agriculture.
