The Italian Ministry of Agriculture is hosting an event in Rome on July 14th to support the ongoing fundraising campaign to save a collection of forgotten fruit trees [2] in Umbria, Italy.
The campaign hopes to raise enough money to secure the collection and establish a permanent research and education centre devoted to agricultural biodiversity.
One of Bioversity's senior scientists, Stefano Padulosi, will be speaking at the event.
