The Role of Agricultural Biodiversity in Addressing Hunger & Climate Change

International seminar, 13-15 September 2010, Córdoba, Spain

Bioversity International is pleased to be a co-organizer of this key event which forms part of the celebrations for the International Year of Biodiversity  [2] and World Food Day.  [3]

The seminar, to convene in Spain in September, will focus on the important role of agricultural biodiversity in terms of food security, hunger and the effects of climate change.

A panel of experts will review current work in these fields and at the end of the event, a committee will draft specific recommendations for action. These recommendations will be presented at the UN General Assembly on Biodiversity to be held on 22 September 2010 in New York.
