Bioversity International and the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of University of Abomey-Calavi [1] (UAC) in Benin, in collaboration with Helsinki University [2], Finland, are recruiting a talented scientist for a partial sponsored PhD fellowship on food security and nutrition. The research will be conducted, in the framework of the project “Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security of Vulnerable Groups in Communities in Benin through Increased use of local Agricultural Biodiversity [3]”, supported by the Government of Finland.
Conditions
The PhD student will enroll at the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC), Benin. Co-supervision will be provided by project scientists, including possibilities for conducting a limited part of the program at Helsinki University, Finland.
The project will cover research costs in addition to paying monthly stipends. The duration of the fellowship will be for a period of three years, effective May 2012.
