Bioversity International collaborates with students and working professionals from both developed and developing countries for short-term field research. Bioversity's own Vavilov-Frankel Fellowship [1] and Abdou-Salam Ouédraogo Fellowship [2] target outstanding young scientists conducting research on issues relating to plant and forest genetic resources. We organize calls for these two fellowships every year. Both aim to give hands-on experience in the arena of international agricultural research and increase the opportunity for fellows to publish results from their research. Research staff at Bioversity also co-supervise research conducted via other fellowship schemes.
