792 accessions composed of 572 of Fagopyrum esculentum, 201 of F. tataricum, 6 of F. cymosum, 2 of F. tataricum potanini, 2 of F. homtropicum, 1 each of F. giganteum, F. linear, F. leptopodum, F. urophyllum, F. callianthum, F. pleioramosum, F. gracilipes, F. esculentum ancestralis and F. capillatum. This includes a backup collection from Nepal of 311 of F. esculentum and 195 of F. tataricum

Maintenance of collection:

Stored at 12°C in paper bags. Presently being increased and placed in medium-term storage at 3°C and 20% RH

Duplication of collection:

Some accessions are stored at Plant Genetic Resources, Ottawa, Canada

Availability:

All accessions having sufficient stocks are available. The Nepal backup must be obtained through Nepal

Quarantine:

No quarantine restrictions

Evaluation:

Days to 10% and 100% flowering, plant height, lodging, seed shattering, days to 75% brown seed, susceptibility to downy mildew, seed colour, seed weight, test weight, and flower colour have been obtained on all except selected Nepal lines

The data are computerized on dBASE (Agrobase/4) programme
