The Species Compendium is a searchable database providing information at taxon level about:
- seed survival during storage
- germination requirements and dormancy
- reproductive biology
- pests and diseases
Citations of key references are included.
The New World Fruits database contains information on 1256 species from 303 genera and 69 families.
Bioversity, the Centre for International Cooperation on Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD) in France and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) worked together to develop the database.
The Database uses the standards set by the International Working Group on Taxonomic Databases for Plant Sciences.
