Bioversity International is governed by a Board of Trustees that meets twice a year. The Board of Trustees duties including approving the broad framework for Bioversity International, defining the organizational objectives and monitoring efforts to achieve organizational goals.
The Board of Trustees appoints Bioversity International’s Director General to act as Chief Executive Officer. The Director General on behalf of the Board of Trustees oversees Bioversity International’s operations and management, and ensures that its programmes and objectives are properly developed and carried out. The Board also appoints an external auditor and approves an annual audit plan.
