Internationally recruited staff
Internationally recruited staff positions are advertised on the international labour market as it has been determined that the skills and expertise required to carry out the duties effectively require an international search.
Recruitments are on a scale of between Level 5 (the lowest) and Level 1 (the highest). Salaries are paid in $US and the employment package includes a comprehensive insurance package and internationally recruited benefits including a relocation package, housing allowance, education allowance for eligible dependents, payment of home leave travel once per year, contributions towards a retirement fund and purchasing power adjustments that reflect local living costs.
As international staff are usually relocating to start their new role with Bioversity International in one of our offices around the world, we also offer advice and support along the way to they can soon settle into their new location and start their new role.
Appointments are generally made on a fixed-term basis of 3 years which are renewable and subject to terms and conditions of the appointment.
