Sonal Dsouza is National Programme Assistant based at New Delhi office. She is responsible for providing support in financial and administrative management of the United Nations Environment – GEF Project in India.
Before assuming her current role, she worked as a Communication and Programme Assistant for the Bioversity International New Delhi Office. She was responsible for communications for the India office and provided administrative and logistical support to all the projects including 'Seeds for Needs' and GEF 5 projects. Prior to joining Bioversity International, Sonal worked as an English Language Secondary School Teacher with the Delhi Public School, New Delhi for twelve years where she held additional responsibilities of a Language Coordinator and was in charge of publications. She has been a resource person for various workshops and has also anchored significant national and global programmes for organizations like APAARI.
