Richa joined Bioversity International as Administrator and Program Support Officer based in Nepal in July 2014. She is responsible for looking after the administrative, financial and technical aspects of the Nepal office. She is currently looking after the overall administration and management of the UNEP GEF project focused on Local Crops. Her job involves budgeting, logistical arrangements, organizing meetings and seminars, monitoring expenditures of projects, liaising with partner organizations for financial reports, travel and visa arrangements, liaising with HQ for fund release and settlement, administering LoA for partners, and other related tasks as assigned.
Before joining Bioversity International, she used to work as a social worker in a local NGO, CWIN, which focuses on child rights and education. She also has experience working as an online editor. She has conducted various outreach programs and workshops during her tenure, and she values goal setting and prioritization of work.
