Huong Pham is a research assistant for gender and socio-economic analysis in the cassava program of the Crops for Nutrition and Health Lever at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. Her research focuses on developing tools and methodologies for understanding gender and youth issues in various aspects of the cassava value chains including breeding, seed value chains, and the adoption of improved technologies.
She is a skilled survey specialist and an expert in CSPro, responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing data collection efforts of the cassava program in Vietnam. In collaboration with the Alliance’s impact assessment team, she trains local government partners to collect gender and youth-relevant data using tablets.
Huong is also a returning expert with the Center for International Migration and Development (CIM), which is a joint operation of GIZ and the German Federal Agency.
