Francis joined Bioversity International in June 2014 to work on the nutrition component of the Humidtropics CGIAR Research Program (CRP) in Vihiga, Western Kenya. Since arriving, he has successfully coordinated the survey activities of the first phase of the project. His work has also involved linking Bioversity International with relevant stakeholders – mainly the National and County governments and local research institutions.
Before joining Bioversity International, he worked for University of Nairobi and Lund University as a field assistant in April 2014 in the Urban Agriculture Project in Kisumu and Thika. Prior to this he also worked for Kenyatta University as a field facilitator for a focused ethnography study in Turkana County (Northern Kenya).
