Boudy van Schagen is a Dutch national who joined Bioversity in 2007. Initially based in Kenya, he helped to strengthen capacity in sub-Saharan African universities for research and training on agricultural biodiversity.
Boudy presently works in Burundi, Rwanda and DR Congo as a knowledge sharing specialist, helping to get Bioversity's science into use.
He does this by providing guidance to development partners on possible impact pathways, and the planning and production of behaviour change communication materials.
After graduating in the Netherlands, Boudy worked briefly at Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), before working with the Mobilizing Knowledge for Development Programme at the Insitute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex.
