Doreen Yerriah is a Programme Budget Officer, based in Montpellier, France for the' Conservation of bananas and tree crops' and the 'Production and marketing of bananas and tree crops' research themes.
Since arriving at Bioversity International in 2004, Doreen has focused on doing the financial follow up on grants, preparing financial reports for our donors and setting up the research themes' yearly budgets. She also acts as a link between the research themes and HQ for all issues related to budget.
Doreen is originally from Mauritius but has been living in France for over 25 years. Prior to arriving at Bioversity International, Doreen mainly worked for a telecommunication firm where she started in the International Development Department as a Project Manager (finance). She then moved to Marketing and was eventually entrusted to the task of setting up the HR Department at the Headquarters, while coordinating the HR departments within the Group.
