The thirteenth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP13), the sixteenth session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC16), and the thirteenth session of the Committee on Science and Technology (CST13) will be held at Ordos International Convention and Exhibition Center, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China from 6 to 16 September 2017. Its high-level segment is scheduled on 11 and 12 September 2017. Prior to that, the meetings of the Regional Implementation Annexes in the preparation for COP13/CRIC16/CST13 are scheduled on 4 and 5 September 2017.

Business Forum on Sustainable Land Management

Ann Tutwiler, Director General, Bioversity International, will do a keynote at the first session of the forum on Sustainable Land Management, Prevention and Restoration of Degraded Land.

 

Side event 81: An Agrobiodiversity Index: improving landscape management and human and environmental health

This event will showcase The Agrobiodiversity Index and how it can be a key tool for countries, financial markets and corporations to increase private and public investment in sustainable food and agriculture. Our speakers and panelists will also give a taste of a related initiative about assessing city-region food systems in order to identify priority interventions that increase demand in city populations and supply from surrounding rural landscapes.

Preceded by several presentations, the side event will feature a panel spanning representatives from governments, development agencies, the private sector and research.

Lunch will be served.
