Bioversity International at Expo Milano 2015

Bioversity International believes that Expo is a great opportunity to highlight the importance of agricultural biodiversity to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Eradicating hunger and poverty, combating climate change, promoting sustainable use of ecosystems directly depend on present and future availability of options to respond to challenges and changes.

All actors in the value chain play a role in feeding the planet sustainably, women included, as they are actively involved in the production, conservation and processing of food for their families and beyond.
We increasingly need supportive policies, technology and consumer education to drive market demand for diverse, nutritious, local foods for sustainable, healthy diets, as well as for the investment in research and development for the conservation and sustainable use of agricultural biodiversity to ensure food and nutrition security for future generations.

Bioversity International will showcase its research and researchers at a variety of events listed below.
